About MoodStir

Built to make music more connected.

MoodStir began with a simple observation: background music affects everyone in the room, yet most venues have no practical way to hear what guests respond to while protecting the brand.

“If I do not like this music, how many other guests feel the same—and how could the venue know?”

That question became a product idea: let the host define the atmosphere, let the room contribute signal, and use software to connect the two.

The mission

Help physical spaces use music with more intention.

MoodStir treats music as part of the guest experience and the operating system of the room—not as a background task that ends when someone presses play.

  • Give operators a language for atmosphereMake it easy to direct music using goals, context, and boundaries rather than track-by-track management.
  • Give guests a meaningful voiceCollect signal that can improve the experience without handing over control.
  • Make advanced behavior practicalWork with common devices, licensed playback, and existing audio systems wherever possible.
Guest signal receivedPreferences shape later decisions, not the venue’s boundaries.

Product principles

The standards behind the experience.

01 / Atmosphere first

Useful before novel

AI is not the headline inside the room. The result should feel like a better atmosphere, not a technology demonstration.

02 / Authority stays clear

Host before algorithm

Adaptation earns trust only when the venue or event host can define and understand the boundaries.

03 / Participation has purpose

Signal before requests

Guest input should improve the experience over time instead of creating a noisy queue of one-off demands.
